Art. L. 2337-3:

I. Une arme de catégorie B¹ ne peut être cédée par un particulier à un autre que dans le cas où le cessionnaire est autorisé à la détenir dans les conditions fixées à l'article L. 2336-1.

Dans tous les cas, les transferts d'armes ou de munitions de la catégorie B sont opérés suivant des formes définies par décret en Conseil d'Etat.

II. Toute cession entre particuliers d'une arme de catégorie C ou de catégorie D¹ soumises à enregistrement donne lieu à l'établissement et au dépôt d'une déclaration dans les conditions définies au V de l'article L. 2336-1 ou, le cas échéant, à un enregistrement, dans un délai d'un mois, auprès du représentant de l'Etat dans le département du lieu de son domicile ou, à Paris, du préfet de police.

Article L. 2337-3:

I. A firearm of category B¹ may only be transferred from an individual to another one in cases where the transferee is authorised to possess it under conditions set by Article L. 2336-1.

In any case, transfers of firearms or ammunition of category B are conducted under conditions defined by Decree in State Council.

II. Any transfer between individuals of a firearm of category C or category D,¹ which are subject to registration, results in the drawing up and filing of a notification under conditions defined in V of Article L. 2336-1 or, if necessary, in the registration, within a month, with the State representative of the district of the place of residence or, in Paris, with the Prefect of Police.
