Article 21 :

Le registre dont la tenue est prévue par l'article 201 ci-dessus doit être conservé pendant un délai de vingt ans à compter de sa clôture. En cas de fermeture définitive du commerce, il doit être déposé dans un délai de trois mois soit au commissariat de police, soit à la brigade de gendarmerie de la circonscription où se trouve le fonds de commerce; en cas de changement de propriétaire, il peut être utilisé par le successeur. Les préfets font procéder, au moins deux fois par an, au collationnement de ce registre.

Article 21:

The register, referred to in Article 201 above, must be kept for a period of twenty years starting after its closure. In case of permanent closure of the business, it must be transferred within three months either to the Police Station, or to the Gendarmerie of the district of the location of the establishment; in case of ownership change, it may be used by the successor. Prefects have a representative compare, at least twice a year, the original register and its copy to ensure that they tally.
