Art. 2 Pour l'application de la présente loi et de ses arrêtés d'exécution, l'on entend par: 1° " armurier ": " quiconque, pour son propre compte et à titre habituel, à titre d'activité principale ou d'activité accessoire, moyennant rétribution ou non, fabrique, répare, modifie ou fait le commerce ou une autre forme de mise à disposition d'armes à feu ou de pièces de ces armes ou de munitions pour ces armes ";

CHAPITRE XII. - Dispositions pénales.
Art. 23. Les contrevenants aux dispositions de la présente loi ou ses arrêtés d'exécution (, ainsi que de la loi visée à l'article 47) seront punis d'un emprisonnement d'un mois à cinq ans et d'une amende de 100 euros à 25 000 euros, ou d'une de ces peines seulement.

Art. 2 For the purposes of this Law and its implementing regulations, the following words mean: 1) "gunsmith": "anyone who, on his own behalf and as usual, as a main activity or auxiliary activity, for compensation or not, manufactures, repairs, modifies or trades or makes firearms or parts of firearms or ammunition for these firearms available";

Art. 5. §1. No person may operate as a gunsmith or broker or make themselves known as such on the Belgian territory if he has not previously approved by the Governor responsible for the place of establishment of the activity.
CHAPTER XII. - Penal Provisions
Art. 23. Individuals who violate the provisions of this Law or its implementing regulations (as well as the law referred to in Article 47) shall be punished with imprisonment from 1 month to 5 years and a fine of 100 euros to 25 000 euros, or one of these penalties.
