Article 22:

Article 22:
The permit to carry firearm is renewed every five years.
However, whatever the date of its issuance, its validity expires on December 31, unless extended.
Article 23:
The renewal of the permit to carry firearm and the extension of permits, regularly issued, are conducted by the Ministry of the Interior or by delegation, the Provincial Governor or his/her delegate.
[Note: This is the Proposed Act to amend the Ordinance 'Law No 085/035 of September 3, 1985, on the Regime of Arms and Ammunition', in line with the Nairobi Protocol for the Prevention, Control and Reduction of Small Arms and Light Weapons.
