Artigo 54.º Obrigações especiais na venda de armas e munições

1. Cabe às empresas de comércio de armas e munições verifi car a identidade do comprador, bem como confi rmar e explicar as características e efeitos das armas e munições vendidas.

2. As empresas do comércio de armas e os seus trabalhadores devem recusar a venda de arma ou munições sempre que o comprador apresente sinais notórios de perturbação psíquica, de embriaguez, de consumo de substâncias estupefacientes e psicotrópicas ou de ingestão de qualquer substância que lhe afecte o comportamento.

3. As munições devem estar acondicionadas em embalagens com dizeres gravados no exterior que identifi quem o conteúdo e a fi rma do fabricante, sem prejuízo de outras informações exigidas por lei ou regulamento.

4. As armas de fogo comercializadas no território nacional devem conter dispositivo intrínseco de segurança e características de identifi cação, gravadas no corpo exterior das mesmas.

Article 54: Special obligations regarding the sale of arms and ammunition

1. It is up to the arms and ammunition trading companies verify the identity of the buyer, as well as confirm and explain the characteristics and effects of any weapons and ammunition sold.

2. Arms trading companies and their workers must refuse to sell weapons or ammunition whenever the buyer shows obvious signs of mental disorder, drunkenness, the consumption of narcotic and psychotropic substances, or the ingestion of any substance that affects your behaviour.

3. Ammunition must be placed in packages with words engraved on the outside that identify both the contents and the manufacturer's name, without prejudice to other information required by law or regulation.

4. Firearms sold within the territory of Cabo Verde must contain an intrinsic safety device and identifying characteristics, engraved on the exterior of the firearm.
