Artigo 17.º Exames de aptidão

1. Concluídos os cursos de formação, têm lugar exames de aptidão, os quais se destinam a comprovar, mediante certifi cado emitido pelo Director Nacional da Polícia Nacional, a aptidão para a obtenção de licença de detenção, uso e porte de arma.

2. Os exames serão realizados em data e local a fi xar pelo Director Nacional da Polícia Nacional e consistem na realização de prova teórica e de prova prática.

3. Os júris de exame são constituídos por três membros a designar pelo Director Nacional da Polícia Nacional, podendo integrar representantes de outros Ministérios ou Departamentos do Estado, dependendo da classe da licença.

4. O deferimento do pedido de inscrição e frequência no curso de formação bem como a aprovação no exame de aptidão não conferem quaisquer direitos ao requerente quanto à concessão da licença.

Article 17: Aptitude Exams

1. Once the training courses have been completed, aptitude exams are held, which are intended to prove, through a certificate issued by the National Director of the National Police, the ability to obtain a permit for the use and possession of a weapon.

2. The exams will be carried out at a date and place to be fixed by the National Director of the National Police and will consist of theoretical and practical tests.

3. Examination juries are made up of three members to be appointed by the National Director of the National Police, being able to integrate representatives of other Ministries or State Departments, depending on the class of license.

4. Granting the application for registration and attendance in the training course as well as passing the suitability checks do not confer any rights on the applicant regarding the granting of the licence.
