I. Bu Qanun Azərbaycan Respublikasında xidməti və mülki silahın və onun sursatının dövriyyəsi, habelə onun müstəsna hallarda tətbiqi ilə bağlı yaranan hüquqi münasibətləri tənzimləyir.

II. Döyüş silahının istehsalı, satışı, əldə edilməsi, uçotu, saxlanılması, istifadə edilməsi, təmiri və məhvi qaydasını, habelə təlim və təltif silahına dair tələbləri, onların saxlanılması və təyinatı üzrə istifadə edilməsi qaydasını Azərbaycan Respublikasının müvafiq icra hakimiyyəti orqanı müəyyən edir.

Article 1. Purpose of the law

I. This Law regulates the legal relations arising in the Republic of Azerbaijan in connection with the circulation of service and civilian weapons and their ammunition, as well as their use in exceptional cases.

II. The procedure for the production, sale, acquisition, registration, storage, use, repair and destruction of weapons, as well as the requirements for training and reward weapons, the procedure for their storage and use shall be determined by the relevant executive authority of the Azerbaijan Republic.
