Article R. 312-1

La vente aux mineurs des armes, des munitions et de leurs éléments est interdite.

L'acquisition est faite par la personne qui exerce l'autorité parentale, sauf si celle-ci est inscrite au fichier national des interdits d'acquisition et de détention d'armes:

1° Sur présentation du permis de chasser délivré en France ou à l'étranger au nom du mineur, ou de toute autre pièce tenant lieu de permis de chasser étranger, accompagné d'un titre de validation de l'année en cours ou de l'année précédente;

2° Ou d'une licence au nom du mineur en cours de validité d'une fédération sportive ayant reçu, au titre de l'article L. 131-14 du code du sport, délégation du ministre chargé des sports pour la pratique du tir ou du ball-trap.

Sub-section 1: Prohibited Acquisition by Minors

Article R. 312-1

The sale to minors of firearms, ammunition and their components is forbidden.

The purchase is conducted by the individual exercising parental authority, except when the latter is listed in the national register of persons prohibited from acquiring and possessing firearms:

1° By presentation of a hunting permit issued in France or abroad under the name of a minor, or any other document in lieu of a foreign hunting permit along with credentials for the current year or for the past year;

2° Or by [presentation of] a valid licence under the name of the minor issued by a sports federation that has received, under Article L. 131-14 of the Sports Code, delegation from the Minister in charge of Sports for the practice of shooting ball-trap.
