Article 5. Les citoyens peuvent aussi posséder pour leurs besoins récréatifs ou sportifs des fusils de calibre 22., 30. et 7.62.

Cependant ces fusils ne seront gardés que sur les lieux de compétition et sous le contrôle strict des Forces armées d'Haïti, sous peine de confiscation avec les conséquences de droit.

Decree of 23 May 1989, Modifying Certain Articles of the Decree of 12 January 1988, on the Control of Firearms, Ammunition, Explosives and Other Categories of Weapons on the National Territory

Article 5. Citizens may possess, for recreational or sports purposes, rifles of calibre .22, .30 and 7.62.

However, these rifles shall only be kept at competition sites and under strict control of Haiti Armed Forces. If not, they shall be subject to confiscation and to legal consequences.
