Registro de comerciantes de armas

Articulo 48 - El Registro Nacional de Armas llevará un "Registro de Comerciantes de Armas"…

Para obtener la inscripción los interesados deberán presentar una solicitud con los recaudos previstos en el artículo 16 de la reglamentación, ante la autoridad policial de su domicilio… La solicitud será resuelta por el Registro Nacional de Armas, que podrá denegarla cuando el interesado registrare antecedentes desfavorables.

Las autoridades locales de fiscalización llevarán un "Registro Local de Comerciantes de Armas" de aquellos que previamente se encuentren inscriptos en el Registro Nacional de Armas…

Articulo 49 - Los comerciantes de armas deberán llevar un libro que se denominará "Registro Oficial de Operaciones", en el cual asentarán cronológicamente todas las operaciones comprensivas de dicho material en que intervengan, con indicación del nombre, apellido, domicilio, documento de identidad de los vendedores y adquirentes y marca, tipo calibre y número de serie de las armas, munición de guerra y munición de uso civil comprendida en el apartado d) del inciso 3) del artículo 4.

Además de dicho registro, deberá mantener actualizadas las fichas Registro de existencias, en las que figurarán los movimientos y el saldo de todo material enajenado o en proceso de comercialización según las directivas que al respecto emita el Registro Nacional de Armas.

Dichos Registros deberán ser rubricados por el Registro Nacional de Armas y llevados con las formalidades previstas por el artículo 54 del Código de Comercio.

Los responsables a que se refiere el presente artículo remitirán periódicamente al Registro Nacional de Armas y según sus directivas, una planilla con el detalle de las operaciones de compra y venta de armas de guerra, sus municiones y armas de uso civil registradas durante dicho período…

Sin perjuicio de ello, el Registro Nacional de Armas efectuará inspecciones periódicas en los comercios de armas, a los fines de verificar el cumplimiento de las obligaciones que imponen la ley y reglamentación.

Registration of Gun Dealers

Article 48 - The National Firearm Registry shall maintain a 'register of firearm dealers'…

In order to register, applicants shall submit an application with the information mentioned in article 16 of the regulation to the local police authorities of their residence… The National Firearm Registry shall decide whether or not to grant the authorisation, and has the authority to refuse the application if the applicant has an unfavourable background.

Local authorities shall maintain a 'register of local firearm dealers' of those who have been previously registered in the National Firearm Registry…

Article 49 - Firearm dealers must keep a book called the 'official register of operations', in which shall be chronologically listed all transactions that have taken place involving this material, indicating the name, surname, address, identification documents of the sellers and buyers and the brand, calibre, type and serial number of the weapons, ammunition of war and ammunition for civil use referred to in subparagraph d) of paragraph 3) in article 4.

In addition to this register, [dealers] must keep stock records, which include the movements and the balance of all material that has been transferred or is in process of being traded, in accordance with directives set by the National Firearm Registry.

These registers must be signed by the National Firearm Registry and maintained in compliance with formalities prescribed in article 54 in the Code of Commerce.

The responsible parties referred to in this article shall transmit periodically to the National Firearm Registry, and according to its directives, a detailed list of purchases and sales of weapons of war, its ammunition, and of firearms for civil used that have been registered during this period…

This shall be without prejudice to the right of the National Firearm Registry to carry out periodic inspections of the firearm dealers' stores in order to verify the compliance with the Act and its regulations.
