Artículo 34. Requisitos para Solicitud de Permiso para Porte

Para el estudio de las solicitudes de permiso para porte deben acreditarse los siguientes requisitos:

1. Para personas naturales:

a) Acreditar los requisitos establecidos en el artículo anterior, en lo pertinente;
b) Si se solicita permiso para el porte de un arma de defensa personal, el solicitante deberá justificar la necesidad de portar un arma para su defensa e integridad personal de acuerdo con lo previsto en el artículo 23 de este Decreto, aportando para ello todos los elementos probatorios de que dispone;
c) Si se solicita permiso para el porte de un arma de uso restringido, el solicitante deberá justificar que se encuentra en peligro de muerte o grave daño personal por especiales circunstancias de su profesión, oficio, cargo que desempeña o actividad económica que desarrolla, que ameriten su expedición, para lo cual podrá aportar todos los elementos probatorios de que disponga, previa autorización del Comité de Armas del Ministerio de Defensa Nacional.

2. Para servicios de vigilancia y seguridad privada:

a) Acreditar los requisitos establecidos en el artículo anterior para las personas jurídicas.

Article 34. Requirements for the Request of a Carrying Permit

The following requirements shall be necessary for the assessment of a request for a carrying permit:

1. For individuals:

a) Meet the requirements referred to in the previous article;
b) If a permit to carry a firearm for personal defence is requested, the applicant must justify the necessity to carry a firearm for his defence and personal integrity in accordance with what is established under article 23 of this Decree, and provide all the evidence he has at his disposal;
c) If a permit for a restricted firearm is requested, the applicant must justify that he is in mortal danger or under severe personal threat due to the specific circumstances of his profession, job, task or economic activity, which would justify the issuance of the permit, for which he shall provide all the evidence at his disposal, upon authorisation of the Arms Committee of the Ministry of National Defence.

2. For private security and surveillance services:

a) Meet the requirements referred to in the previous article for legal persons.
