Artículo 34 - Requisitos para la solicitud de permiso para portación

Para el estudio de las solicitudes de permiso para portación, deben cumplirse los siguientes requisitos:

a) Para personas físicas:
1. acreditar, en lo pertinente, el cumplimiento de los requisitos establecidos en el artículo anterior;
2. ser mayor de veintidós años de edad;
3. certificado de no poseer antecedentes policiales;
4. certificado de no poseer antecedentes penales;
5. certificado médico de aptitud psicofísica para uso de armas de fuego, debidamente legalizado por el Ministerio de Salud Pública y Bienestar Social;
6. fotocopia autenticada del permiso de tenencia; y,
7. justificar la necesidad de portar un arma de fuego para su defensa e integridad personal, en documento rendido bajo la fe de juramento…

Article 34 - Requirements for a Carrying Permit Application

For a carrying permit to be examined, the following requirements must be met:

a) For individuals:
1. comply with requirements set by the preceding article;
2. be over twenty-two years old;
3. certificate showing that there is no prior police record;
4. certificate showing that there is no prior criminal record;
5. medical certificate demonstrating [the applicant's] mental fitness for the use of firearms, duly certified by the Ministry of Public Health and Social Welfare;
6. certified photocopy of the possession permit; and,
7. to be able to justify the need for possessing a firearm for self-defence and personal integrity in the document, which has been rendered under oath…
