Artículo 9. Revocaciones de Licencias

Cuando a la persona autorizada para el porte y tenencia de arma de fuego le es revocada la licencia por un hecho delictivo o por irregularidad en la utilización del arma de fuego, se procederá a la incautación o confiscación del arma de fuego, en atención a lo que establece el artículo 27 de la Ley 36, y se le colocará a la persona un bloqueo en el sistema electrónico y en el expediente físico, excepto que judicialmente, con sentencia definitiva, se ordene dejar sin efecto ese impedimento.

El mismo procedimiento se aplicará cuando la persona deje expirar el plazo para la renovación o pierda el arma, excepto que lo notifique a la Secretaría de Estado de Interior y Policia en un plazo no mayor de setenta y dos horas (72), con los medios probatorios que justifique las razones del vencimiento o de la perdida sin negligencia…

Resolution 02-06, on Provisions for the Application of the Control of Firearms

Article 9. Licence Revocations

Whenever a person authorised to carry or possess firearms has his licence revoked for a crime or for irregularities in the use of firearms, the latter shall be seized or confiscated, as provided by Article 27 of Act 36, and the person shall be blocked in the electronic and physical registers, unless a definitive legal ruling withdraws such prohibition.

The same proceeding shall apply whenever the person allows the renewal expiry date to pass or loses the weapon, except if the Ministry of the Interior and Police is notified in less than seventy-two hours (72), and evidence that the expiration or loss did not occur because of negligence is provided…
