Artículo 7. Licencias para Dominicanos en el Exterior y Extranjeros Residentes

Los dominicanos residentes en el exterior o los extranjeros residentes en el país, tienen el derecho a una Licencia Temporal Privada u Oficial, según el caso, para uso ocasional, estando obligada la persona a depositar el arma de fuego en el depósito de la Intendencia General de Arma de la Secretaría de Estado de Interior y Policía cada vez que tenga salida del país, para lo cual se le dará constancia del depósito.

El mismo procedimiento deberá seguir cualquier persona al ausentarse del país, sin importar el tipo o la categoría de la licencia.

Resolution 02-06, on Provisions for the Application of the Control of Firearms

Article 7. Licences for Dominicans Abroad and Resident Foreigners

Dominicans living abroad and foreigners living in the country have the right to a Private or Official Temporary Licence, as appropriate, for occasional use, and must store the firearm in the depot of the General Arms Administration of the Ministry of the Interior and Police each time they leave the country, and the said deposit must be recorded.

The same procedure shall be followed by anyone leaving the country, independently of the licence type or category.
