Artículo 43. Penas para Armas Recortadas

Se castigará con la pena de diez (10) a veinte 20 años de trabajos públicos a toda persona que recorte o haga recortar carabinas, escopetas, rifles y cualquier otra clase de armas de fuego; o que coopere en tales operaciones o proporcione los medios para ejecutarlas; caso que tuviere en su poder, oculte o conduzca armas así modificadas; o que de manera general haya facilitado o ayudado a la comisión de este crimen.
En estos casos el tribunal ordenará siempre la confiscación de las armas…

Article 43. Penalties for Shortening Firearms

Whoever shortens carbines, shotguns, rifles and any other type of firearm, or has it done by someone else; or takes part in or provides a means to execute this operation; or has in his possession, hidden or concealed firearms thus modified; or more generally has facilitated or helped in carrying out such a crime, shall be punished with ten (10) to twenty (20) years of public work.
In these cases, the court shall always order the confiscation of the firearms…
