Artículo 42. Transportación de Armas de Fuego

La transportación de armas de fuego objeto de licencia o permiso, accesorios y de municiones en el territorio nacional y desde o hacia el extranjero, se realiza por los medios terrestres, navales y aéreos autorizados.
En todo caso para la transportación de los medios de armamento a que se refiere el párrafo anterior, debe portarse como requisito indispensable la licencia de armas de fuego o el permiso correspondiente expedido por el Ministerio del Interior, y cumplir con las regulaciones establecidas por el Ministerio del Transporte, lo previsto en el Reglamento de Seguridad y Protección para la Aviación Civil de Cuba y los Convenios Internacionales establecidos por la Organización de la Aviación Civil Internacional (OACI) y en el presente Decreto-Ley.

Article 42. Transport of Firearms

The transport of firearms which are subject to licences or permits, accessories and ammunition into the national territory and from or to foreign countries is carried out via authorised terrestrial, maritime or air transport systems.

To transport the aforementioned items, the firearm licence or the corresponding permit issued by the Ministry of the Interior [must be present when transporting firearms]. In addition, the regulatory requirements established by the Ministry of Transport, in the Regulation of Security and Protection of Cuba's Civilian Aviation and in international conventions established by the International Organisation of Civil Aviation, plus the present Law-Decree must all be met.
