Artículo 16. Armas de Fuego para Deporte y Tiro Recreativo

Son las armas de fuego autorizadas para deporte y tiro recreativo las que se usan para tiro al blanco fijo, en movimiento o al vuelo.

Las armas de fuego cortas y armas largas autorizadas para uso civil se utilizan en los concursos oficiales nacionales e internacionales de la federación deportiva nacional correspondiente, reconocida por el Instituto Peruano del Deporte.

También se consideran armas de fuego para deporte las señaladas en el párrafo precedente, que se empleen en las competencias organizadas por los clubes de tiro u otras organizaciones deportivas de tiro, reconocidas por la federación deportiva nacional antes señalada y/o autorizadas por la SUCAMEC.

Article 16. Firearms for Sports and Recreational Shooting

Firearms authorised for sports and recreational shooting are those used for the shooting of stable, moving or flying targets.

Handguns and long guns authorised for civil use are allowed in official national and international competitions of the relevant National Sports Federation recognized by the Peruvian Sports Institute.

Also considered firearms for sports purposes are the aforementioned firearms when used in competitions organised by shooting clubs or other sports shooting organisations, recognized by the aforementioned National Sports Federation designated and/or authorised by SUCAMEC.
