Artículo 21. Adquisición de Municiones

La adquisición de municiones para armas de fuego para defensa personal, caza, deporte, tiro recreativo y colección solamente puede efectuarse por los titulares o representantes legales, previa presentación de la respectiva licencia de uso de armas de fuego en los establecimientos debidamente autorizados por la SUCAMEC y la tarjeta de propiedad correspondiente.

En el caso de armas de fuego bajo la modalidad de defensa personal, el límite máximo permitido de adquisición mensual, no acumulativa de municiones, es de 600 cartuchos por cada arma corta. El mismo límite rige en el caso de armas de uso particular de miembros de las Fuerzas Armadas y la Policía Nacional del Perú…

Article 21. Purchase of Ammunition

The purchase of ammunition for firearms for personal defence, hunting, sports, recreational shooting, and collection purposes shall only be carried out by firearm owners or their legal representatives, upon presentation of the relevant licence for the use of firearms in establishments duly authorised by SUCAMEC and the relevant ownership certificate.

In the case of firearms for personal defence, the maximum quantity of ammunition, which may be purchased on a monthly basis and without being accumulated, is 600 cartridges per handgun.
