Artículo 86. Prohibición de Porte de Armas de Fuego

No se conferirá permiso para portar armas de fuego a: interdictos; dementes aunque no estén bajo interdicción; fallidos, mientras no hayan sido rehabilitados; a quienes carecen de domicilio en el Ecuador; a los de mala conducta notoria; y a quienes no hubieren merecido el informe favorable de la Dirección de Inteligencia del Comando Conjunto.

Article 86. Prohibition on Carrying Firearms

No licence to carry firearms shall be issued to: prohibited persons; those with mental deficiencies, even if not prohibited; bankrupt individuals if not rehabilitated; those who lack a residence in Ecuador; those with poor conduct; and those who may not have been granted a favourable report from the Intelligence Direction of the Joint Command.
