Artículo 16. Armas de Fuego de Uso Restringido

Son armas de fuego de uso restringido, aquellas destinadas al uso privativo de la Policía Nacional, tales como:

a) Revólveres hasta calibre 38, pistolas y subametralladoras semiautomáticas hasta el calibre 9mm;
b) Carabinas de repetición o semiautomáticas;
c) Gases de uso y empleo de la Policía Nacional; y,
d) Otros, previa autorización del Comando Conjunto de las Fuerzas Armadas.

Regulations to the Act on Arms, Ammunition, Explosives and Accessories, Executive Decree No. 169. RO/32

Article 16. Restricted Firearms

Restricted firearms are those intended for the exclusive use of the National Police, such as:

a) Revolvers with a calibre not greater than .38 inches, semi-automatic pistols and sub-machine guns with a caliber not greater than 9 mm;
b) Repeating or semi-automatic shotguns;
c) Gases to be used by the National Police; and,
d) Other, subject to the authorisation of the Joint Command of the Armed Forces.
