Decreto No. 69-2007 por el que se modificó la Ley de control de armas de fuego, municiones, explosiones y otros similares

Artículo 1. Modificar el contenido del Decreto No.30-2000 contentivo de la Ley de control de armas de fuego, municiones, explosivos y otros similares, de fecha 11 de abril del año 2000, mediante reforma de sus Artículos 27 y 34, y la adición de los artículos 27-A, 27-B y 27-C, los cuales se leerán de la forma siguiente:

ARTICULO 27 B. La Detección y Custodia Temporal de Armas

Los establecimientos comerciales, de servicio o de naturaleza similar donde se produzca concurrencia masiva de personas, las ferias, los centros deportivos, los establecimientos bancarios, las empresas de transporte de pasajeros, deberán contar en sus puertas o espacios de acceso con servicios de guardia y/o mecanismos para hacer la detección y custodia temporal de armas, además de aplicar otras medidas prudentes de seguridad. Los establecimientos citados en este párrafo, están en la obligación de colocar advertencias o avisos visibles sobre estas regulaciones y sus sanciones.

Los cuerpos de policía oficiales realizarán operativos de control de armas en las vías públicas, estaciones de buses y otras áreas públicas…

Decree No. 69-2007, Modifying the Act on the Control of Firearms, Ammunition, Explosives and Other Related Materials

Article 1. Modifying the Decree No. 30-2000 of the Act on the Control of Firearms, Ammunition, Explosives and Other Related Materials, April 11, 2000, by amending Articles 27 and 34, and adding Articles 27-A, 27-B and 27-C, which will now be read in the following way:

Article 27 B. Identification and Temporary Custody of Weapons

Private security and/or metal detectors on doors or access spaces for the identification and temporary custody of firearms, and other security measures should be provided in locations where large groups of people congregate, such as fairs, sports centres, financial institutions or transport vehicles. Visible warnings or notices regarding the regulations and penalties are to be placed in the aforementioned establishments.

Police departments are to carry out arms control operations on public roads, bus stations and other public places…
