Articulo 7. Para los efectos de esta ley se consideran permitidas de conformidad con reglamentación al efecto, las armas defensivas y deportivas siguientes:

1) Armas de puño o cortas: Los revólveres y pistolas semiautomáticas hasta punto cuarenta y cinco pulgadas (45), u once punto cinco milímetros (11.5) de calibre;

2) Las armas de hombro o largas; Fusiles y cabinas de acción mecánica y semiautomática, hasta punto trescientos ocho pulgadas de calibre (308); y;

3) Escopetas de acción mecánica o semiautomática, de los calibres diez (10), doce (12), dieciséis (16), veinte (20), y punto cuatrocientos diez (410) siempre que el cañón sea menor no sea menor de cuarenta y seis centímetros (46cm.) o dieciocho (18) pulgadas.

Defensive and Sporting Firearms Permitted

Article 7. For the purpose of this Act, the following self-defence and recreational weapons are considered permissible in accordance with current regulation:

1) Handguns: Revolvers and semi-automatic handguns up to point forty-five inches (.45) or eleven point five millimetre (11.5) calibre;

2) Long or Shoulder guns: rifles and bolt action or semi-automatic carbines, up to point three hundred and eight inch calibre (.308); and;

3) Bolt action or semi-automatic shotguns of ten (10), twelve (12), sixteen (16), twenty (20) gauge or point four hundred and ten (.410) calibre, as long as the barrel is greater than forty-six centimetres (46 cm) or eighteen (18) inches.
