Artículo 63. A efecto de retirar las armas automáticas de guerra, los explosivos, las municiones, accesorios y otras armas no permitidas, el Poder Ejecutivo, sin perjuicio de las obligaciones de la Policía Nacional, organizará la Comisión Nacional de Recolección de Armas de Guerra, que estará integrada por las Secretarías de Estado en los Despachos de Seguridad, y Defensa Nacional y representantes de la Sociedad Civil, Esta Comisión tendrá carácter temporal.

Los tenedores de las armas, explosivos y demás objetos prohibidos a que se refiere el párrafo anterior, deberá de entregarlas voluntariamente, previo recibo a la Policía Nacional, considerándose liberados de cualquier responsabilidad, por la tenencia de las mismas.

Collection of Prohibited Firearms

Article 63. With the aim of removing automatic military weapons, explosives, ammunition, accessories and other prohibited weapons, the executive branch, without prejudice to the obligations of the National Police, will organise the National Commission for the Collection of the Weapons of War, which will consist of the Offices of the Secretariats of Security [National Police] and National Defence [defence forces], and civil society representatives. This commission will be established on a temporary basis.

Holders of firearms, explosives and other prohibited items mentioned in the preceding paragraph who voluntarily surrender these items to the National Police will be considered free from any responsibility for the possession the aforementioned items.
