Artículo 111. Posesión ilícita de arma de fuego

Quien posea o tenga bajo su dominio, en un lugar determinado, un arma de fuego sin contar con el permiso correspondiente emitido por el órgano de la Fuerza Armada Nacional Bolivariana con competencia en materia de control de armas, será penado con prisión de cuatro a seis años.

Cuando el delito establecido en el presente artículo se cometa con un arma de guerra, la pena de prisión será de seis a diez años.

Act on the Disarmament and Control of Arms and Ammunition

Article 111. Illegal Possession of Firearms

Whoever possesses or owns, in a given place, a firearm without the corresponding permit issued by the body of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces in charge of arms control, shall be punished with a prison sentence of four to six years.

When the crime established under this article is committed with a weapon of war, the imprisonment will be between six and ten years.
