Artículo 162. Marcaje de Armas

El órgano competente de la Fuerza Armada Nacional Bolivariana para el control de armas y municiones, efectuara el marcaje de las armas a través de un código asignado el cual es un numero único e irrepetible previo cumplimiento de los requisitos exigidos para tal fin, el marcaje de las armas es de obligatorio cumplimiento para los órganos de Seguridad y Cuerpos de Seguridad del Estado y demás órganos y entes que excepcionalmente ejerzan competencias propias del Servido de Policia, las Empresas, Asociativas o Cooperativas que prestan el Servido de Vigilancia Privada, Protección y Transporte de Valores, u otros entes u organismos que a tal efecto determine el órgano competente en materia de
armas y municiones

Article 162. Firearm Marking

The competent body of the National Bolivarian Armed Forces for the control of arms and ammunition will carry out the marking of firearms via the assignation of a code, which is a unique and un-re-issuable number and is given subject to the fulfilment of requirements needed for its granting; the marking of firearms is mandatory for the Security Forces and Forces of State Security and other bodies and organisations which carry out functions that are proper to the Police, companies, associations or cooperatives dealing with Private Security, Protection and Transport of valuable goods, or other bodies or organisations for which the competent body on firearms and ammunition may deem the above to be applicable.
