Artículo 42. Permiso de Porte de Arma para Defensa Personal

El Permiso de Porte de Arma para Defensa Personal, es aquel emitido a una persona natural por parte del órgano competente de la Fuerza Armada Nacional Bolivariana para el control de armas y municiones para el uso, traslado, manipulación de un arma de fuego, con la munición autorizada para su uso de acuerdo a la ley respectiva, requisitos para la obtención del porte de arma para Defensa Personal:
1. Ser venezolano o venezolana por nacimiento o por naturalización.
2. Ser Mayor de veinticinco años.

Article 42. Permit to Carry Firearms for Personal Defence

A permit to carry firearms for personal defence is the permit issued to an individual by the competent body of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces for the control of arms and ammunition for the use, transfer and handling of a firearm, for the ammunition authorised for its use in accordance with the respective law; requirements for the grant of a permit for Personal Defence are:

1. To be Venezuelan, either by birth or by naturalisation.
2. To be older than twenty-five (25) years of age.
