8. Penalties for wrongful importation or exportation

(1) Any person who contravenes section 5(1) or section 6(1) commits an offence and is liable on conviction to imprisonment for a term not exceeding three months or to a fine not exceeding £500 or to both such imprisonment and fine.

(2) Any person who contravenes section 5(3), section 6(3) or section 7 commits an offence and is liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding £50.
