Artículo 27. (Seguridad Para el Transporte)1

I. Toda empresa autorizada para la importación, exportación de armas de fuego, municiones, explosivos, materias primas clasificadas, fuegos artificiales o pirotécnicos y otros materiales relacionados, deberá cumplir con las normas de seguridad para el transporte terrestre, aéreo, fluvial y almacenamiento, establecidas en la reglamentación correspondiente.

II. Las empresas comercializadoras de armas de fuego, municiones y explosivos de uso civil, son responsables por la seguridad en el transporte y almacenamiento del material, debiendo la autoridad competente determinar la necesidad de escolta militar, de acuerdo a reglamentación.

III. Está prohibido el transporte por vía postal, de armas de fuego, municiones, explosivos, materias primas clasificadas, fuegos artificiales y otros materiales relacionados.

Article 27. (Transport Security Measures)1

I. Every company authorised to import and export firearms, ammunition, explosives, classified materials, fireworks or pyrotechnics and other related materials should comply with the safety standards established in the corresponding regulations for the transport by land, air and sea, and storage of these items.

II. Companies selling firearms, ammunition and explosives for civilian use, are responsible for the safe transport and storage of the materials. According to regulations, the responsible authority must determine whether the items need military escort.

III. It is prohibited to transport firearms, ammunition, explosives, classified materials, fireworks and other related materials by mail.
