Guns in Schools in Maryland

Maryland prohibits any person from carrying or possessing a firearm on public school property.

Exceptions to this prohibition include persons engaged in an organized shooting activity for educational purposes and persons who, with a written invitation from the school principal, display or engage in a historical demonstration using a weapon or a replica of a weapon for educational purposes.

There is no exception for possession by concealed handgun permit holders…
