Alaska generally prohibits the knowing possession of a firearm, carried openly or concealed, at any preschool, elementary, junior high or secondary school, including the buildings, grounds, parking lots or school buses, without the permission of the chief administrative officer of the school or district. Alaska also prohibits concealed weapons permit holders from carrying a concealed handgun in these locations.
