Registration of Firearms in Delaware
Delaware does not require the registration of firearms. Any system of firearm registration is expressly prohibited, except with respect to a person prohibited from receiving a firearm.
Delaware requires every law enforcement officer of the state and of any political subdivision to transmit to Delaware's State Bureau of Identification (SBI) the fingerprints, photographs and other data prescribed by the SBI's Director of all individuals applying for a permit to buy or possess "illegal weapons or firearms," as well as copies of any reports required to be made by pawnshops, second-hand dealers and dealers in weapons to the Director of SBI…
