- les trafics alimentés par les pays de la zone balkanique;
- l'exploitation des disparités réglementaires européennes;
- les trafics initiés par les amateurs d'armes «déviants »;
- les armes en provenance de cambriolages.

Law Enforcement / Criminalisation

ii) Have those groups and individuals engaged in the illegal manufacture, trade, stockpiling, transfer, possession, as well as financing for acquisition, of illicit SALW been identified, where applicable? What action has been taken under appropriate national law against such groups and individuals? (II.6)

The identification of arms trafficking rings and repressive activities represent an integral part of the missions of police services, gendarmerie and Customs.

With that in mind, the Central Office for the Fight against Organised Crime (OCLCO) is the interministry agency in charge, designed by Decree 2006-518 of 6 May 2006 to centralise all information related to arms trafficking.

Currently, a certain number of supplying rings have been identified:

- Trafficking supplied by the countries in the Balkans zone;
- Exploitation of European regulatory disparities;
- Trafficking initiated by 'deviant' arms enthusiasts;
- Arms originating from burglaries.

[SALW = Small arms and light weapons]
