Au Benin, les armes saisies par la Commission Nationale de Lutte Centre la Prolifération des Armes Légères sont stockées à la Présidence de la République ou auprès des greffes au niveau des tribunaux.
Tous les jours, en dépit des techniques de fouilles rudimentaires, des armes sont saisies et stockées et le nombre se chiffre à deux mille cents (2,100) en Octobre 2009. Leur destruction interviendra incessamment.
Par ailleurs, il convient de noter que les armes obsolètes des stocks nationaux sont gardées dans les dépôts du Ministère de la Défense Nationale.
La gestion de ce stock ne relève pas des attributions de la Commission.

Collection and Destruction of Illicit, Surplus and Obsolete Weapons
In Benin, the weapons seized by the National Commission to Fight the Proliferation of Small Arms of Benin are stored by the Presidency of the Republic or by the courts' offices.
Every day, even with basic search techniques, weapons are seized and stored and the number amounts to two thousand and one hundred (2,100) in October 2009. They will soon be destroyed.
Moreover, it should be noted that obsolete weapons of national stockpiles are stored in the depots of the National Ministry of Defence.
