Art. 8. Les infractions et les tentatives d'infraction aux dispositions prévues par (ce titre) et ses mesures d'exécution sont punies conformément aux articles 231, 249 à 253 et 263 à 284 de la loi générale sur les douanes et accises. Toutefois, l'emprisonnement sera de cinq ans au plus et l'amende de mille à un million de francs. En cas de récidive ces peines sont doublées.
Sont assimilés aux tentatives d'infractions visées au premier alinéa, toute expédition, tout transport ou toute détention d'armes, de munitions et de matériel devant servir spécialement (à un usage militaire ou de maintien de l'ordre) et de technologie y afférente qui ont manifestement pour objet la réalisation d'une importation, d'une exportation ou d'un transit, à effectuer dans des conditions contraires aux dispositions prises en vertu de (ce titre).

Law on import, export [transit and the fight against trafficking] of weapons, ammunition and equipment intended specifically [for use by the military or law enforcement] and related technology of 5 August 1991, as amended by the Law of 26 March 2003 and the Special Law of 12 August 2003.

Art. 8. Offences and attempted offences to the provisions intended by (this title) and its implementing measures shall be punished in accordance with Articles 231, 249 to 253 and 263 to 284 of the General Law on Customs and Excise. However, imprisonment will be of 5 years and a fine of 1,000 to 1,000,000 francs. In case of second offence, these penalties are doubled.
Shall be treated as attempted offences under the first paragraph, any shipment, transport or possession of firearms, ammunition and equipment intended specifically (for use by the military or law enforcement) and related technology which clearly relates to the production of import, export or transit, to be made in contravention of the provisions adopted under (this title).
