La Ley Nº 25054 del 20 de junio de 1989 norma la fabricación, comercio, posesión y uso por particulares de armas y municiones; y el Decreto Supremo Nº 007-98-IN (05.10.98) Reglamento de Ley, son los dispositivos legales que contemplan lo relacionado al registro de fabricación, la tenencia y uso de armas y sobre las transferencias de armas de fuego y municiones que no son de guerra.

Law 25054 (20 January 1989) regulates the manufacture, trade, possession and use of civilian arms and ammunition; and the Supreme Decree 007-98-IN (5 October 1998) or Regulation of the Law contains the provisions regarding registration of manufacturing, possession and transfers of arms and ammunitions not classified as military weapons.
