Report on the Programme of Action
Periodic inspections are conducted to ensure that manufacturers and vendors of weapons for civilian use keep registers containing full and accurate information relating to manufacturing and sales within their areas of activity. This information is subsequently analysed in order to ensure that the registers contain accurate information.
In issuing licences to possess and carry weapons to State entities and bodies and to public sector bodies in general, the Combined Armed Forces Command verifies that they satisfy all the corresponding requirements contained in current legislation, but also requires them to have their own regulations relating to the use, handling and security of authorized weapons.
