The Computerized Arms Control System (SINCOAR) has launched an action plan aimed at registering artisanal gunsmiths. 126 such gunsmiths, most of whom are located in Bolívar province, have been registered and it has thus been possible to identify legitimate manufacturers and suspend the activities of those operating outside the legal framework.
