ii) Mauritius does not manufacture firearms whether for civilian or military use. They (firearms for civilian use) are imported by persons under the authority of an import permit. Firearms and ammunition are closely monitored by the Central Firearms Index (CFI) as provided under the Firearms Act 2006.
