Record-keeping - Manufacturers

Manufacturing enterprises in the Russian Federation maintain comprehensive centralized records and control of weapons produced. A monthly check is carried out by piece and number. In addition, a commission appointed by order of the enterprise director conducts an annual check of the stock and the conditions for the storage of small arms and light weapons.

The registration and safe storage of finished products are governed by the Instructions on the procedure for receiving, registering and storing finished products and admitting persons to warehouses.

Information on small arms and light weapons is retained at manufacturing enterprises for 10 years and in the organizations that use them for an indefinite period.
