Artículo 23. Inscripción de Armas por Parte de Personas Físicas

Las personas físicas deben inscribir en el Departamento todas las armas de fuego permitidas que posean para la defensa de su vida o su hacienda o para la práctica de deportes. En el caso de las personas jurídicas, el Departamento podrá inscribir el número de armas que considere necesarias a la finalidad de que se trate.

Las personas físicas no podrán inscribir, más de tres armas para ser utilizadas en su seguridad personal, la de su familia y su patrimonio. No obstante, podrán inscribir un número mayor cuando, por motivos debidamente fundados, así lo justifiquen ante el Departamento.

Las inscripciones de las armas permitidas se darán por tiempo indefinido.

Article 23. Firearm Registration by Individuals

Individuals must register in the Arms and Explosives Control Department all the permitted firearms that they possess to defend his life or his estate or to practice sports. In the case of legal entities, the Department may register the number of arms that it sees fit taking into account the entities' purpose.

Individuals may register no more than three arms to protect themselves, their family and property. However, they may register a higher number when they are able to justify their reasons to the Department.

The registration will be granted indefinitely.
