Artículo 76. Renovación de Licencia

Para la solicitud de renovación de licencia de portación de armas de fuego, se exigirá presentar el arma o las armas para verificar que no hayan sido modificadas, la solicitud con la información a que se refiere el artículo 72 literal a), numerales 1 y 21 de la presente Ley y certificación de carencia de antecedentes penales y policíacos.

… Los ciudadanos Guatemaltecos y los extranjeros residentes permanentes que tenga tres años de tener licencia de portación de arma de fuego, podrán obtener renovación de su licencia por un período de hasta tres (3) años adicionales, realizando los pagos correspondientes a dicho período.

Article 76. Licence Renewal

To renew a firearm carrying licence, the applicant must show the arm or arms in order to verify that they have not been modified; fill the application form with the information referred to in Article 72 paragraph a), subsections 1 and 21 of this Act; and provide the certification of no criminal and police records.

… Guatemalan citizens and permanent resident foreigners who have had a carrying licence for three years may obtain renewal of their licence for a period of up to three additional years, providing that they make the corresponding payments for that period.
