Artículo 48. Traslado Esporádico de Armas de Fuego y/o Municiones

Se podrá trasladar esporádicamente armas de fuego de uso civil y/o deportivas, así como municiones, con el propósito de mantenimiento, caza, recreación u otras necesidades ocasionales. Para tal efecto el titular del o las armas presentará sin costo, una licencia de traslado esporádico, la que tendrá una duración máxima de quince (15) días. Las armas de fuego deberán trasladarse descargadas, guardadas en su funda o estuche o convenientemente embaladas, las municiones deberán ir en sus cajas o empacadas adecuadamente.

Artículo 51. Traslado de Armas de Fuego, Municiones y Propelantes con Custodia

Todo traslado de diez (10) o más armas de fuego y/o más de diez (10) mil cartuchos o más de veinticinco (25) libras de pólvora, requerirá necesariamente contar con custodia a costa del interesado, previa autorización de la DIGECAM.

Article 48. Sporadic Transport of Firearms and/or Ammunitions

It is possible to sporadically transport civilian or sport firearms and ammunitions for maintenance, hunting, leisure activities or other circumstantial needs. The licenced gun owner must apply for a free of charge sporadic transport licence which could be granted for maximum 15 days. The firearms must be transported unloaded, stored in their holster or case or conveniently shipped. Ammunition should be transported in its box or it should be properly packed.

Article 51. Guarded Transport of Arms, Ammunitions and Propellants

It is necessary to have guarded transport, paid by the concerned party, when transporting ten or more firearms, ten thousand or more rounds of ammunition and/or more than 25 pounds of gunpowder. It is also necessary to have a permit issued by the Office for Arms and Ammunition Control.
