(9) Dans le cadre de la gestion et de la sécurisation des stocks, la CDCPA, avec l'appui du PNUD, a installé à la Brigade Logistique de Bujumbura un atelier permanent de destruction des ALPC. Entre janvier 2008 et janvier 2009, l'atelier a permis la destruction de plus de 7 000 armes venant du processus de DDR, des saisies effectuées par la Police Nationale et des stocks obsolètes de l'armée.

(10) En collaboration avec la Force de Défense Nationale (FDN), le site national de destruction des munitions et explosifs de Mudubugu (Province de Bubanza) a été équipé d'un bâtiment de stockage temporaire (3 silos) avec porte de garde, citerne et une enceinte sécurisée…
La structure est dors et déjà utilisée pour le stockage temporaire et la destruction des munitions et explosifs saisis par la Police Nationale du Burundi ou remis par les troupes du FNL à l'Union Africaine dans le cadre du processus de Désarmement Démobilisation et Réinsertion (DDR); les armes récupérées dans le cadre du programme de reconversion des armes subiront la destruction dans ces sites.

(11) Compte tenu de l'état général des infrastructures d'hébergement et du fait que certains policiers logent dans les bâtiments théoriquement destinés au stockage des armes, il a conjointement été décidé de lancer une première phase de travaux qui comprendra la construction de 4 bâtiments d'hébergement et de 2 armureries sur 3 casernes de la PNB à Bujumbura. Les premiers travaux ont débuté en février 2009. Durant l'année 2009 il est prévu d'étendre progressivement le programme aux autres provinces du Burundi.

(11) Given the general condition of accommodation facilities and the fact that some police officers live in buildings originally intended for the storage of arms, it was jointly decided to launch the first phase of work that will include the construction of 4 accommodation buildings and 2 arsenals for 3 barracks of the PNB (National Police of Bujumbura) in Bujumbura. The initial work began in February 2009. During 2009, it is planned to expand the programme to other provinces of Burundi.
