Control of Brokering Activities
In Belarusian legislation, brokering activity means the provision of services by legal persons of the Republic of Belarus in connection with the transport of specified goods, including small arms and light weapons, from one foreign State to another.
Brokering in small arms and light weapons is controlled in the context of the current system of export controls.
The provision of brokering services by legal persons of the Republic of Belarus for the transport of small arms and light weapons from one foreign State to another requires a license. A license for the provision of brokering services in connection with small arms and light weapons may be issued only to a legal person of the Republic of Belarus who has received the obligatory certification of entitlement to engage in foreign trade activities, including brokering, in relation to specified goods.
In order to receive a license for brokering services the applicant submits the following documents to the Military and Industrial Committee:
License application;
Copies of the contract documents;
A notarized copy of the validated end-user certificate from the country to which the specified goods will be delivered.
Additional information may be requested or additional checks performed to confirm the accuracy of the documents and information submitted by the applicant organization.
