Cifras 2008
Para el año 2008 se sometieron al proceso de fundición un total de 27.864 armas de fuego, de las cuales las Autodefensas entregaron 210 (1%), 2.716 fueron obtenidas por devolución voluntaria (10%), 24.938 por decomiso (89%). En cuanto a su origen o procedencia, se estableció que 11.146 armas (40%) eran originales y 16.718 armas (60%) eran de fabricación artesanal.

Para el año 2009 se sometieron al proceso de fundición un total de 26.014 armas de fuego, de las cuales las Autodefensas entregaron 1 (0,003%), por devolución voluntaria 1.580 (6.07%), por decomiso 24.433 (93.92%). En cuanto a su origen o procedencia, se estableció que 11.396 armas (43.80%) eran originales y 14.618 armas (56.19%) eran artesanales.

Estas fundiciones fueron realizadas por el Departamento de Control Comercio de Armas, Municiones, Explosivos y sus Accesorios, en cumplimiento de lo establecido en el Decreto 2535 de 1993.
