The Ministry of Defense destroyed large quantities of unstable surplus ammunition (30) between 2014 and 2016, from 7.9 million units of ammunition in 2014 to 10.9 million units in 2016.
In 2012, the Ministry of Defence destroyed 30,081 surplus SALW.
A total of 4,045 weapons is reported to have been destroyed by the Ministry of Security between 2014-2016 with UNDP SEESAC support (31).
