Art. 9b Validity of the licence to acquire arms

1 The licence to acquire is valid for the whole of Switzerland and gives the right to acquire one arm or one essential component of an arm.

2 The Federal Council provides for exceptions in the cases of replacement of essential components of a legally acquired arm, acquisition of several arms or essential components of arms from the same person or acquisition by succession.

3 The licence to acquire arms is valid six months. The competent authority can extend the validity by a maximum of three months.
