12. § (1)2 A lőfegyver-kereskedő a lőfegyver, a lőszer, illetve a lőszerelem forgalmazásakor köteles
a) a vevő, az eladó (szállító), illetve a megrendelő adatait, a lőfegyver, lőszer azonosító adatait, továbbá a házilagos lőszerszereléshez, illetve az elöltöltőfegyver vadászati célú használatához szükséges lőszerelem (csappantyú, lőpor) forgalmazott mennyiségét nyilvántartásba venni,
b) a vevő, az eladó (szállító), illetve a megrendelő azonosítását a személyazonosságát igazoló hatósági igazolvány alapján elvégezni,
c) a vevő lőfegyver tartására jogosító engedélyének hatályosságáról, valamint arról meggyőződni, hogy a vevő jogosult a forgalmazott lőfegyver, lőszer, lőszerelem megszerzésére, továbbá
d)3 a (2) bekezdésben meghatározott adatokat haladéktalanul a lőfegyverek központi nyilvántartásába továbbítani.
(1a)4 Kormányrendelet az elektronikus úton történő adattovábbítást kötelezővé teheti, illetve előírhatja, hogy lőfegyver-kereskedői tevékenységet kizárólag az elektronikus úton történő adattovábbításhoz meghatározott technikai feltételekkel rendelkezők folytathatnak.

12. § (1)2 When marketing firearms, ammunition or ammunition components, a firearms dealer shall
a) record the details of the purchaser, the seller (supplier) or the customer, the identification details of the firearm or ammunition, and the quantity of ammunition (percussion caps, powder) distributed for the purpose of home use or for the use of a firearm for hunting,
(b) identify the buyer, seller (supplier) or customer on the basis of an official identity document,
(c) verify the validity of the buyer's licence to possess firearms and that the buyer is authorised to acquire the firearms, ammunition or ammunition distributed; and
(d)3 to transmit the information specified in paragraph (2) without delay to the central register of firearms.
(1a)4 A government decree may make the transmission of data by electronic means compulsory or may stipulate that only persons with the technical requirements for the electronic transmission of data may engage in the activity of firearms dealer.
