Initiated in 2005, the NATO Partnership for Peace Trust Fund has pledged to help Ukraine destroy an estimated 1.5 million military small arms and light weapons and 133,000 tons of ammunition.
The project, which is likely to cost in the region of USD 27 million, is predicted to span 12 years (USDOS, 2005).
