16. Does your country have standards and procedures related to keeping of records for all marked SALW in its territory? YES

16.1. What records relating to SALW are kept by the State (e.g. manufacturing, brokering, import and export licences granted, sales to other States, SALW held by State agencies such as the armed forces etc)?

[C]oncerning war weapons, companies have to observe special reporting obligations by submitting bi-­annual statements to the Federal Office of Economics an Export Control (Bundesamt für Wirtschaft und Ausfuhrkontrolle; official acronym:"BAFA") on all registered transactions…Other records are proofs of sale, export licenses, import licenses, proofs of licenses.

The customs authority keeps individual, detailed records containing the "life data" of each weapon, e.g. name of manufacturer, country of manufacture, serial number, year of manufacture, weapon type/model, calibre, proofing/testing and repairing details…
